The Emperor’s New Clothes

ACT 1 | The Palace

NARRATOR:  There once lived an Emperor who, more than anything else, loved clothes and fashion.  Most emperors spend their days ruling the land. Not this one.

EMPEROR:  Where’s my new robe? The one with the jewels along the edges? I must have a new outfit for dinner!

NARRATOR:  He was obsessed with robes and jewels.

EMPEROR:  Servants! Bring me my rings–one for each finger.

NARRATOR:  One day, two strangers came to the kingdom. They told everyone they were weavers. That they were bringing fabric to sell in town.  In fact, they were not weavers at all.  And they had no fabric.  Instead, what they were bringing was a plan.
